Vehicle Services in Auckland — WOF, Servicing, Diesel & Panel Beating

We pride ourselves in providing excellent service.

If it has wheels on it, we can help you

Galeeco Automotive is an MTA-approved workshop with two Auckland locations — Mt Wellington and Mt Roskill — covering everything from a routine Warrant of Fitness to full engine and transmission rebuilds. Our team works on cars, utes and trucks, European and Japanese makes alike, using manufacturer-level diagnostic tools. Whatever stage your vehicle is at, one workshop can take it from diagnosis through to repair, backed by a 12-month / 20,000km warranty.

Vehicle Services and Routine Maintenance Auckland

Vehicle Services

Regular servicing is the single biggest factor in how long your vehicle lasts and how much it costs to run. Choose a Bronze or Silver service package for routine maintenance, or book a targeted job – transmission service, cooling system flush or brake fluid flush – if that’s all your vehicle needs right now.

Mechanical Repairs Steering Brakes and Suspension Auckland

Mechanical

Worn brakes, loose steering or a stretched timing belt are safety issues, not just performance ones – this is also where your Warrant of Fitness inspection happens. Our technicians handle brake repair, steering and suspension work, and timing belt/chain replacement at both Mt Wellington and Mt Roskill, then complete your WOF in the same visit where possible.

Engine and Transmission Rebuild Services Auckland

Engine and transmission rebuild

When a repair isn’t enough, a full rebuild gets your engine or transmission back to factory-equivalent condition instead of an expensive replacement. We rebuild engines for cars, utes and trucks of any make, plus specialist Road Ranger (Eaton Fuller) transmission rebuilds and DSG dual-clutch replacement for European vehicles.

AC Inspection at Galeeco

AC Repair

A slow-cooling or silent air conditioning system usually means a refrigerant leak, a failed compressor, or a fault in the electrical circuit — not something that fixes itself. Galeeco’s auto air conditioning service diagnoses the cause and repairs it at both branches, so you’re not guessing before the next hot day.

Auto Electrical Repairs and Key Programming Auckland

Electrical repairs

From a car that won’t start to a lost key that needs reprogramming, auto-electrical faults need proper diagnostic equipment to find the real cause first time. Our auto electricians handle full diagnostics and repairs, plus key programming for Mercedes, BMW and Japanese vehicles, at both Mt Wellington and Mt Roskill.

Panel Beating and Car Painting Services Auckland

Panel Beating & Painting

Accident damage, rust and stone chips all need the same thing: proper preparation before any paint goes on, or the repair won’t last. Galeeco handles corrosion and rust repair, insurance work, panel beating and full car painting under one roof — most local workshops send this work elsewhere, we don’t.

Diesel Vehicle Repairs and Emissions Solutions Auckland

Diesel vehicle repairs

Diesel and heavy vehicles fail differently to petrol cars – DPF blockages, AdBlue faults and EGR problems are the most common reasons a truck or van fails its COF. We diagnose and repair diesel vehicles of any size, including COF-related repairs and DPF, AdBlue and EGR system work.

Fleet Maintenance Services for Trucks and Vans Auckland

Fleet Maintenance

A vehicle off the road costs a fleet operator money every hour, which is why fleet servicing is built around minimising downtime, not just doing the job eventually. Galeeco provides preventive maintenance and servicing for trucks, vans, utes and buses, scheduled around your fleet’s operating hours.

Performance Car and Truck Tuning Services Auckland

Cars and Truck Tuning Services

Performance tuning adjusts how an engine actually runs – fuel delivery, boost, timing – rather than just clearing a warning light. We offer tuning for cars and trucks alongside DPF, EGR, AdBlue and NOx system solutions, for drivers chasing more power, better economy, or both.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Services & Repairs

What vehicle services does Galeeco Automotive offer?

Galeeco is a full-service workshop across two Auckland branches — Mt Wellington and Mt Roskill — covering WOF inspections, car servicing, diesel and truck repairs, panel beating and painting, auto-electrical and AC repair, engine and transmission rebuilds, and performance tuning.

Do I need to book in advance for a WOF?

While we recommend booking online to guarantee a spot, we do accept walk-ins for WOFs when workshop space allows.

What are the most common reasons a car fails its WOF, and can it be fixed on the spot?

Nationally, most WOF failures come down to lighting, tyres, brakes or suspension wear — many of them cheap, preventable fixes. Galeeco can run a pre-WOF check to catch these issues early, and in many cases complete any repairs and re-inspection in the same visit. See the full list of common WOF fail reasons →

Does a Bronze or Silver service include checking the air conditioning?

Not automatically. Most vehicle services focus on oil, filters, brakes and safety checks, and air conditioning is usually a separate item unless it’s specifically requested. If your AC isn’t blowing cold, ask us to check it alongside your next service, or book it separately.

Can you service European vehicles as well as Japanese and diesel models?

Yes. We use manufacturer-level diagnostic tools for BMW, Mercedes, Audi and VW, alongside full servicing for Japanese vehicles and diesel cars, utes and trucks, at both our Mt Wellington and Mt Roskill branches.

Is Galeeco Automotive MTA approved?

Yes, Galeeco Automotive is an MTA-approved workshop, meaning our work meets recognised motor trade industry standards.

Is an engine rebuild worth it, or should I just replace the car?

It depends on the extent of the damage, your vehicle’s value, and how long you plan to keep it — a rebuild restores your existing engine using its original block, and works best when that block is still sound. We’ll give you an honest assessment of whether a rebuild makes sense before you commit to anything.

My diesel has gone into limp mode or the DPF light is on — is it safe to keep driving?

For a short, gentle drive, usually yes — but limp mode is the engine protecting itself, not a fault to ignore. Have it diagnosed properly rather than continuing to drive on it; our diesel team can identify whether it’s a DPF, EGR or AdBlue issue and get it running normally again.

Do I have to use my insurance company’s recommended repairer after an accident?

No — in most cases you have the right to choose your own repairer, even if your insurer suggests one of their preferred providers. Nominate Galeeco Automotive when you lodge your claim, and our Insurance Works team can help manage the assessment and paperwork with your insurer.

I’ve lost my only car key — can you still cut and program a new one?

In most cases, yes — modern transponder and smart keys can usually be cut and programmed without the original, though a small number of newer or high-security models need dealer-level equipment. Our auto electricians handle key programming for Mercedes, BMW and Japanese vehicles at both branches — get in touch with your vehicle’s make and model for a straight answer.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept Laybuy, Afterpay, Zip, and handle WINZ quotes to help you spread the cost of larger repairs.
