Privacy Policy
This Privacy Statement should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
Who does this policy apply to?
This policy applies to Galeeco Automotive, including our Mount Wellington and Mount Roskill workshops. We use “we”, “us” and “our” to mean Galeeco.
It covers customers, potential customers, vehicle owners, drivers, fleet contacts, suppliers, job applicants and website visitors.
Under the Privacy Act 2020, the agency responsible for your information is Galeeco Motor Engineering LTD, trading as Galeeco Automotive.
What personal information does Galeeco collect?
The information we collect depends on how you deal with us. It may include:
- your name, address, email, phone number and preferred contact method.
- business, fleet or billing contact details.
- vehicle information, such as registration, make, model, VIN, odometer reading, service history and repair records.
- details from a booking, quote, enquiry, job card, invoice, warranty claim or insurance repair.
- photos, videos or documents you send us, such as images of damage or faults.
- payment and transaction details (your card details are usually processed by our payment provider, not stored by us).
- records of calls, emails, messages, feedback and complaints.
- website and device information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
- anything else you choose to share, or that we’re allowed to collect by law.
We usually collect this directly from you. Sometimes we get it from someone acting for you, such as a vehicle owner, driver, fleet manager, insurer, assessor or referrer. This only happens where you’ve allowed it or the law permits it. If you give us information about someone else, please make sure you have their permission.
Why does Galeeco collect and use my information?
We only collect and use personal information where it’s reasonably needed to:
- answer enquiries and give quotes.

You don’t have to give us information. But if you don’t, we may not be able to respond to your request, confirm you’re authorised to have work done, give you a quote, or complete the service.
Who does Galeeco share my information with?
We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
We may share it, where reasonably necessary, with:
- our staff and workshop personnel who need it to do their job.
- service providers who support our business, such as website, hosting, IT, accounting, payment and security providers.

Will I receive marketing from Galeeco?
We may send you information about our services, offers or service reminders, where the law allows it. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link, or by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing won’t stop important service, booking, safety, invoice or account messages.
How does Galeeco keep my information secure, and for how long?
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access, including access controls and other safeguards.
No system is completely secure. If a breach is likely to cause serious harm, we’ll act according to our legal obligations, including telling affected people and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner where required.
